Kisan Announces First Collection of Edgy BLK OPM Designer Tees and Sweatshirts
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Kisan, the highly curated designer women’s and children’s retailer in Soho, announced it recently began carrying pieces from the BLK OPM line, created by Paris designer David Hadida. The unisex tees and sweatshirts feature provocative statements, painted circles, and bold designs on neutral-colored fabrics.
“We’ve admired the BLK OPM designs for some time,” said Kisan co-owner Thorunn Anspach. “The fall 2013 line features an unflinching city edge with a touch of Shanghai charm. Our clients will love the distressed hemlines and graphics on these pieces.”
BLK OPM, pronounced “Black Opium”, is the brainchild of designer David Hadida. The line is described as “anarchy-chic”, thanks to its bold and provocative message. Hadida aims to create tees and sweatshirts that will have a relationship with the wearer. The designs are intense and dark, but translate into a style that looks light and lively.
“Comfort is also part of the allure of BLK OPM,” said Kisan co-owner Olivier Bremond. “With round collars or scooped necks in 100 percent cotton, they are perfect for virtually any weather. David Hadida intentionally employs a neutral palette, so the shirts can be accessorized with bright colors.”
The new scarf styles by Italian design house Faliero Sarti would be perfect accessories for the BLK OPM styles. Designed for both men and women, Faliero Sarti scarves are created from feather-light wool, cashmere, cotton blends, and cashmere silk milled on site. Colors and prints are on-trend immediately updating clothing. They are the perfect weight for any season.
Another new designer that Kisan shoppers will notice is Paul & Joe Sister. A little sister line to Paul & Joe, created by designer Sophie Albou, the line features utterly feminine Parisian styles with an edge. The easy-to-wear designs feature bows, playful retro prints, pleated skirts and dresses for daytime wear.
Fall shoes have arrived at Kisan, and Robert Clergerie’s fall line is garnering a lot of attention. The women’s designs, known for their Parisian style, British flair and revolutionary edge, offer not only style, but incredible comfort. Royal Kate Middleton is a devotee of the edgy brogues, over-the-knee boots and brightly colored chunky heels that have made Robert Clergerie famous.
Continuing to be popular are the urban chic footwear and handbags from designer Pedro Garcia’s 2013 collection that Kisan launched earlier in July. The Spanish shoemaker’s designs selected by Kisan are the perfect combination of city and contemporary style. The all-black footwear selections include a perforated loafer, a wedge sandal, and a mid-calf boot. Handbag styles include a black perforated carry-all and a black suede tote.
Anspach and Bremond opened Kisan in 2008 in Soho, bringing the very best of their favorite fashions and designers they discovered while traveling the world extensively for 20 years. Their retail philosophy is to marry Parisian fashion sensibilities with New York style with clothing that doesn’t sacrifice fine quality and wearability. The owners pride themselves on selecting current and upcoming designers with a unique dedication to both craft and style.
