Absolute Digital Media Reviews the Success of Facebook Hashtags
(PRWEB UK) 29 July 2013 -- The article, 10 Interesting Digital Marketing Stats We’ve Seen This Week, published 26th July in Econsultancy reveals the findings of a study by Simply Measured. Looking into the top 100 brands on Facebook between 1st May and 30th June 2013, it found that only 20% of Facebook posts use hashtags. Focussing on how brands are using Facebook to drive engagement with fans, the research revealed that they haven’t embraced Facebook hashtags to the same extent as they did with Twitter and Instagram. It has been speculated that this may be partly explained by the “busier and larger interface of Facebook” rendering them less important for discovery.
Managing the social media campaigns of clients from a range of industries, the team at Absolute Digital Media are dedicated to keeping up to date with the latest features within platforms such as Facebook. Naturally, the specialists have followed the introduction and progress of Facebook hashtags and a representative from the firm shares their thoughts on the subject.
“The results of this particular study would suggest that the Facebook hashtag feature hasn’t been as widely adopted as some people might have expected. This may be because it is not a new concept - Twitter and Google Plus have already been using this for a while. However, it is still a relatively new feature to Facebook, so this may well change.”
