Ken Mara of World Wide Security, a Long Island Security Systems Integrator, Acquires CCTV Security of Long Island City
Garden City, New York (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- World Wide Security announced today it has completed the asset acquisition of CCTV Security Ltd., of Long Island City. CCTV Security Ltd. is a full-service electronic security systems integrator founded over 40 years ago. The newly acquired company specializes in high-end surveillance, security and protection throughout New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Westchester County. The acquisition of CCTV Security will increase World Wide’s service offerings and specialized security solutions such as perimeter, biometrics, barrier, camera and access control systems for foreign governments, museums, galleries, parking facilities, offices, hotels and high-rise apartment buildings in these areas.
World Wide Security has been acquiring regional security companies for the past 4 years as part of its growth strategy. “We choose CCTV Security because of their strong CCTV and access control presence in New York City, an area where we wanted to concentrate on,” stated Kenneth Mara, President & CEO of Garden City-based World Wide Security Group, adding, “Their client base is comprised of blue chip corporations that will now be able to purchase additional security services that were not available through CCTV Security such as intrusion detection, fire and smoke alarm systems and monitoring.”
Wyn Grant, CCTV Security’s founding owner will be joining World Wide Security as manager of CCTV services, a new division formed through the acquisition. “Wyn has been in the security business for 40 years and has incredible industry knowledge. Wyn and his business partner Gary Gray built the company together and we are very fortunate to have Wyn staying on to grow the CCTV division,” explained Mara.
World Wide Security future growth plans include additional acquisitions in the security field on both a local and national level. “We are concentrating on specific target areas across the country,” Mara stated. Globally CCTV surveillance security continues to have the largest market share in world security, followed by access control security systems. “Given the trends taking place in our industry along with continued growth coming out of a recession, we feel we are poised to establish a very strong market presence.
