"America's Cup World Series Photo Exhibit" by Stuart Kiehl Captures America's Cup World Series Racing Excitement and Drama
Mill Valley, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The America’s Cup World Series is an international circuit created to give teams a chance to grow their experience on the new AC 45 racing catamarans, with racing events in Newport, Rhode Island, San Francisco and Naples, Italy, concluding in May, 2013 as a preliminary to the Louis Vuitton Challenger Series, and the Finals starting in September.
The 34th America's Cup, the oldest modern sporting event in history, 163 years old, is taking place in San Francisco Bay, and for the first time spectators can see the event from shore. The spectacular larger AC 72 catamarans bring racing speeds to over 50mph, with many of the same crew members who sailed on the AC 45s.
As a veteran catamaran racer, cruiser and sailor, having sailed from Canada to Cabo, Stuart Kiehl, San Francisco Charter Boat USCG licensed Captain has been able to capture exclusive images of these extreme boats set in the iconic seascapes of the San Francisco Bay. When not on the water, Stuart has worked as a cameraman and photographer for over twenty years. These skills and experience combined help him choose the best possible vantage points and convey in his images the "feeling" of the racing.
"America's Cup World Series Photo Exhibit" will be on display for all on August 2013 at the Depot Bookstore & Cafe, 87 Throckmorton Ave Mill Valley, CA 94941, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Framed, signed prints will be on sale. Digital rights for commercial use are available at http://clover.smugmug.com.
