Spin Master Ltd. is the Title Sponsor of Toy & Game Inventors Camp
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- Spin Master Ltd., Canada’s largest children’s toys and entertainment company, is proud to announce it is the Title Sponsor of a Toy and Game Inventors Camp which takes place in Toronto from July 29 – August 2, 2013. The camp is being presented in partnership with Story Planet, MakerKids and Young Inventor Challenge.
Spin Master will help kids who are focused on inventing and designing toys and will work alongside the other camp partners to teach them 3D modeling and printing as well as how to build prototypes.

MakerKids and Story Planet are non-profit organizations working to promote creativity in youth. The Maker workshop space gives kids a chance to learn hands-on skills like woodworking, sewing, hi-tech tinkering and making of all kinds. Story Planet provides workshops to improve literacy and communication skills through creative projects.
Young Inventor Challenge is an annual contest that takes place at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair, encouraging youth ages 6-18 to enter an original toy or game idea and compete for a chance to have their product professionally developed.

About the camp:
• The camp will feature advice from real toy inventors and guest speakers.
• A documentary film is being made about the camp in partnership with Genie award-winning documentary house Philtre Films.
• Each child will brainstorm, plan, and build their own working toy or game over the course of the week. They will also create marketing materials including a slogan, box, and a TV commercial.
• The camp takes place at Story Planet with 2 days of field trips to MakerKids.
• There are still a few spaces left for the camp for girls ages 8-12 (there are 10 spaces for boys and 10 for girls).
