Guardian News & Media Selects Flurry AppSpot to Deliver Targeted Advertising Solutions in Its Mobile Apps
London, UK (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Flurry Inc. today announced that Guardian News & Media has begun using Flurry’s AppSpot advertising platform to deliver more effective ads in its Android app.
Flurry’s AppSpot platform allows the Guardian to deliver more targeted advertising, and enables advertisers to reach specific segments based on a user’s age and gender, and to also target specific groups such as mothers, business travellers and sports fans.
Combining the Guardian’s content with AppSpot’s segmentation and targeting capabilities offers a compelling solution to advertisers while continuously enhancing the consumer’s experience through more relevant ads. The Guardian is fully leveraging the AppSpot platform using it for directly sold and serviced ads, as well as placing its remnant inventory on the Flurry RTB marketplace.
Lee Fels, head of mobile sales, Guardian News & Media, said: "The Guardian has over 150m monthly smartphone impressions, so it’s great to be working with Flurry who can help us continue our goal of offering advertisers sophisticated mobile targeting and higher impact advertising formats."
In its research published three weeks ago (http://blog.flurry.com/bid/98080/A-Day-in-the-Life-of-aMobile-Consumer), Flurry found that news and magazine applications are the 3rd largest segment in mobile in time consumption.
"News, media and entertainment properties led the advertising market in the TV, print and digital era. We see the same happening in mobile with apps," said Simon Khalaf, President and CEO of Flurry. "We are looking forward to partnering with Guardian News & Media to deliver an advertising experience that is native to mobile, highly targeted and most importantly one that enhances the overall consumer experience."
