Attorney S. Michael Musa-Obregon Appointed as Erick Salgado’s Senior Campaign Adviser

Michael Musa-Obregon, has been appointed to serve as Senior Campaign Adviser to Erick Salgado as he runs for Mayor of New York. Mr. Musa-Obregon will be assisting the mayoral candidate in developing his platform on immigration law and criminal law policy for the city of New York.

Mr. Musa-Obregon plans to utilize his many contacts within the immigration law community as well as his years of networking experience in assisting Rev. Salgado has been noted by the New York Times for his fiery, robust debate performances in the NYC Democratic mayoral debates (Farrell, New York Times, June 2013).
Attorney Musa-Obregon, like Rev. Salgado, is a native of the Bronx. He formerly served as Assistant District Attorney for New York City under Honorable Richard Brown before launching his own practice in 1993. He now has over 20 years of experience in the field of immigration law. He is an active member of various immigration organizations, such as the Immigrant Defense Project of the New York State Defenders Association.
Rev. Salgado established Iglesia Jovenes Cristianos Church in Bensonhurst, the first Hispanic church in that area, in December of 2001. In April of 2003, he also began the radio ministry Radio Cantico Nuevo Inc. He resigned from his position as President of the radio ministry in order to focus his attention on running for Mayor of NYC (Bio of Erick Salgado).
