Ameredia Lends AsianWeek Foundation A Creative Hand
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Multicultural advertising agency, Améredia, has produced an animated promotional video in support of AsianWeek Foundation’s fundraiser, “Off With His Hair!” In appreciation of the organization’s work in advancing Asian Pacific American identity in the United States, the agency has donated the animation pro bono, free of cost. Améredia’s creative donation is a testament to its vision of giving back to the diverse industries in which it operates and the multicultural communities to which it serves.
Both Améredia and AsianWeek Foundation are dedicated to serving the Asian Pacific American community, one of the fastest growing ethnic groups in the United States. The fittingly named fundraiser hopes to raise $15,000 by Thursday, August 1st, 2013. Proceeds from “Off With His Hair” will be used to modernize the organization’s outdated computer systems - this updated technology will significantly assist AsianWeek’s staff in furthering their work for the Asian Pacific American community. “We couldn't have done this campaign without Améredia's creative talents and community generosity. They came up with just the right balance of humor and seriousness to message this campaign, and were able to execute their ideas in a multi-media format making the message even more effective,” said AsianWeek Foundation President, Ted Fang.
Améredia’s creative team was sure to feature Fang as the main caricature in the fun and quirky animation as “Off With His Hair’s” highest pledge will have the pleasure of chopping off Fangs trademark ponytail. Fang has been growing out the hair on his head for more than 10 years, and while the break up between himself and his precious locks will not be easy, he remains adamant in helping the San Francisco non-profit achieve its goal. “Off With His Hair” is scheduled for Thursday, August 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST at the Carbon Lounge in San Francisco, CA.
