Miss Streichert always had a passion for entertainment news. After growing up in Toledo, Ohio, Ashley moved to Chicago where she studied Broadcast Communication and Theatre at Loyola University. While in college, she produced sports broadcasts for WLUW radio and pursued her interest in food journalism writing for major publications including Chicago Foodies and "Check, Please!" In addition, she created content for her personal food blog, The Elite Beat.
She lived in the big city for five years where she earned her degree and worked as a crime reporter for the Red Eye run by the Chicago Tribune. Ashley then moved back to her hometown to pursue a position as a multimedia reporter for the Toledo Blade. After the Blade, Ashley began her career as a Managing Editor for GossipCenter Network.
