Entrepreneur Reflects on a Dream Turned Reality in 18 Short Months
Lambertville, Michigan (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Nearly a year after founding her social media consulting business, Weaving Influence, founder Becky Robinson reflects on the journey, crediting a few mentors for their support in coaching her on a successful beginning to her journey.
Whitney Johnson, a popular HBR blogger, is one of those mentors.
“One of the first books we launched as a company was Whitney Johnson’s "Dare, Dream, Do". While working on her book launch, I juggled a regular job as well as my roles as a wife and mother. As I contemplated leaving my job to build the business full-time, I did so with Whitney’s constant encouragement.”
Johnson has written “If it’s scary and lonely, you’re probably on the right track.” Having her voice as a guide helped ease Robinson’s fears, and any journey is less lonely with a trusted advisor to turn to.
Johnson’s expertise also helped Robinson define a niche in the market. She quickly realized that many busy clients needed a team to implement and execute ideas. Robinson quickly began partnering with skilled professionals to meet client needs and developed a full service marketing agency.
“Each client has specific goals. We enjoy working hard for them, implementing proven tactics to help them achieve their desired results while always innovating and creating new opportunities to help them shine,” says Robinson.
Within its first 18 months, Weaving Influence has grown to bring together the talent of more than 20 skilled professionals from across the country. The company continues to expand its offerings with services such as book launches, content creation, graphic design, social media, public relations, and web development. The company also has two blog networks, Team Buzz Builder and Team Faith Builder, both providing opportunities for online influencers to connect, rally around, and share their influence in promoting others.
Currently serving more than 30 clients, the company will launch 25 books by the end of 2013. Robinson is interested in increasing her team’s capacity to serve more clients.
Additionally, the founder is equally passionate about developing her team and guiding their personal growth. One of the keys to her company’s success is pairing team members with projects and work that they love. “It is important for our staff to be happy and doing work that they love. Their energy, pride and passion pours out into each project and all reap the benefits.”
In the coming months, the team will be creating buzz for "Take Charge of Your Talent" by Don Maruska and Jay Perry, “The 9 ½ Principles of Innovative Service” by Chip Bell, and “The Heart of Leadership” by Mark Miller, among others.
