American Proxy List Gives US Prices to Overcharged Australians
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- idcloak releases an American proxy list for users in countries like Australia which suffer from local price hikes on American IT goods and services. “By connecting to a free IP proxy, users may order products from US companies at US prices,” says idcloak’s Robin Welles, “the savings can be as much as fifty percent.”
The proxy list release comes just days after the Australian government published an IT pricing report which highlights the disparity between US and Australian prices and recommends legal intervention to protect Australian consumers. The report puts US VPN and proxy services, already commonplace in Australia, under the legal spotlight.
“Until now, companies like Apple, Amazon and Netflix have prohibited Australians from rerouting their internet to foreign countries to access better prices. But if this legislation goes through, any terms & conditions seen to be enforcing geo-discrimination will be considered void. This means no firm, in the IT sector or otherwise, will legally be able to stop Australian internet users from shopping through a VPN or proxy server.”
VPN proxies are already used by many Australian netizens, though the legality of doing so is a grey area. With advent of legal backing, idcloak predicts numbers will boom and Australia will have more anonymous surfers than in any other nation.
As a free and easy-to-use alternative to VPN subscriptions, Welles insists that idcloak’s American proxy list, alongside the previously released UK proxy server, has much to offer, “An IP proxy requires no software download or account setup – the user just copies and pastes an American IP address into their browser’s settings and they are away. These proxies do not encounter site-compatibility problems and the user may easily pick the fastest server just by looking at the performance statistics in the list.”
“A high-grade US VPN is still superior for long-term use, sure; but an IP proxy is a great tool for occasional online shopping trips to the US.”
idcloak Technologies is just weeks away from a scheduled release of its own idcloak VPN, which will offer a long list of American-based servers. For more, visit http://www.idcloak.com
