Gibbon Slacklines USA Unveils Advanced Slackline Series at the 2013 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market
Louisville, Colo. (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Gibbon Slacklines USA has made introducing the sport of slacklining to North America its mission, and with millions of outdoors lovers, athletes and families addicted to the sport, the brand is now adding on to their top-selling line of equipment. At the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market taking place on July 31-August 3, Gibbon will be unveiling its new modular series and pro-inspired slackline kits designed to take performance to the next level. Gibbon will exhibit these new products and host an interactive slackline zone at booth #1 where attendees can try the sport for themselves.
“As the sport of slacklining continues to grow and develop, it was time to introduce more versatile kits for advanced slackliners,” said Emilio Torres, vice president of sales at Gibbon Slacklines. “The new modular series and kits are inspired by the Gibbon pro athletes, and we’re also releasing updated kits to our current line that deliver even more in terms of fitness and functionality.”
The introduction of the modular series allows consumers to “build your own” trickline kit for the very first time. Advanced slackliners can now choose the high performance webbing, anchoring and tensioning elements to create the ideal set-up.
New webbing options for the modular series include the Epic Pro line, inspired by 2013 World Slackline Champion Alex Mason, and the Andy Lewis Trickline, which was designed by the Gibbon Pro athlete famous for his Super Bowl XLVI performance. The Epic Pro line features unique rubberized glaze graphics for superior grip and easy-to-find focal points to help with landing complicated tricks. The Andy Lewis Trickline allows for supreme bounce with the “sweet spot” graphic, which helps users easily locate the high amplitude zone for ultimate air. As part of the modular series, consumers also have the option of choosing the Jib Line, which is the official slackline of World Slackline Federation competitions.
The Andy Lewis Trickline will also be available as a full slackline kit that comes with all components necessary for seasoned slackliners to pull their most epic tricks yet.
Tightening and toning with slacklining is made even easier with the new Fitness Line X13, which offers a full-body workout and resistance training. This easy-to-use slackline is appropriate for all skill levels and incorporates slacklining resistance training with an included stretch band and workout guide. The Fitness Line is designed to enhance traditional exercises like pushups and dips, and simply walking across and balancing on the line strengthens the core and stabilizer muscles while honing balance.
For those unfamiliar with the sport, slacklining is the act of balancing on a narrow, flexible piece of webbing that’s usually anchored between two trees. Gibbon Slacklines is the world’s largest slackline manufacturer and has evolved the sport into an accessible, healthy activity for everyone, as well as an extreme sport thanks to the talented Gibbon athletes that never fail to impress with their ever-changing repertoire of tricks.
