“We’re excited to forge this global partnership with Rift Recon. As ExploitHub has grown, Security Vendors and Penetration Testers have been leveraging the products available in the marketplace for advantages in engagements, insights into vulnerabilities and exploits, development of more robust security controls, and research for their customers,” said Dustin D. Trammell, Director of Technology for ExploitHub. “This partnership will benefit customers by pairing ExploitHub’s marketplace platform with Rift Recon’s world-class Hardware analysis, curation, and development capabilities.”
Rift Recon is committed to working with ExploitHub to extend the marketplace into the hardware and firmware markets. As part of the deal, Rift Recon will leverage its expertise to develop and launch the ExploitHub Hardware marketplace under the ExploitHub Hardware Initiative.
This partnership will see the launch of new products and services this week during the BlackHat USA and DEFCON conferences, including the new Hardware and Firmware categories on the ExploitHub marketplace platform. Rift Recon will curate the firmware and hardware submitted while developing long term relationships with new and existing manufacturers of security related tools and devices to put into the marketplace. Over the course of the conferences various new hardware products will become available via the ExploitHub marketplace.
As of the initial launch, several members of the Hardware community have joined as ExploitHub Hardware Initiative partners. Those members are; Pwnie Express, Hak5shop, Alwood Locksport, and River Loop Security. Rift Recon will also be providing original product lines as well.
Further announcements will be made regarding products and services of the partnership in the coming weeks and months.
“As we enter a new stage in the development of low cost, high value hardware systems to evaluate security devices in the world, we need to encourage and develop the best and brightest minds to bring products to the marketplace to aid Penetration Testers in their quest to secure their clients,” said Eric Michaud, CEO of Rift Recon. “We see this new relationship as our commitment to this endeavor.”
“As one of the ExploitHub Initiative launch partners, we are excited by this development in the growth of the security hardware market for penetration testers, “ said Dave Procello, Founder and CEO of Pwnie Express. “By utilizing the ExploitHub marketplace we are able to provide another source for customers to quickly reach our products and aid in securing their clients.”
