Lake Sumter Television Premieres New Programming
Leesburg, Fla. (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Beginning August 1, Lake and Sumter county residents have a broadcast channel that will air more and more programs for and about the local community.
Lake Sumter Television (LSTV), a unique and exciting venture between Hometown Health TV, LLC, Lake Sumter State College and Lake County is developing the area’s most comprehensive, educational, informative and positive local programming.
Video programs will be available on Comcast Channel 13 and Brighthouse Channel 199 as well as online at LakeSumterTV.com, on YouTube and through extensive community partnerships including The Daily Commercial.
“The residents, businesses, events, organizations, innovators, municipalities and the area’s lifestyle serve as the inspiration for the television and digital content,” said Marc Robertz-Schwartz, President/Executive Producer of Hometown Health TV which was contracted by LSSC and Lake County to operate Lake Sumter TV.

Hometown Health TV - In its fifth season of production, “Hometown Health” is the area’s most honored, independently produced program. Each month, learn about the latest in health and medical news, innovations, advances, special events and more from Lake County based health and medical professionals and organizations. See past episodes and learn more about the practices and specialists who make up the Hometown Health Network on line. Airs Mon/Wed/Fri at 6a and 6p, Tues/Thur/Sat at 11a and 11p.
Profiles - Want to learn more about the movers and shakers who make up Lake and Sumter counties? Each month, “Profiles” puts local leaders and everyday residents in the spotlight to show viewers who makes a positive impact on our community. Profiles segments will also be available on the LakeSumterTV YouTube channel Airs Mon/Wed/Fri at 7a and 7p, Tues/Thur/Sat at 10:30a and 10:30p.
Ultimate Choice - Follow this group of teens who live the extreme adventure of their lives, in some of the most spectacular places in the world, including various locations though out Florida, Tahoe, the Carolinas and the Wild West! The “Ultimate Choice” teens are taken to the edge: physically, emotionally, and morally. In the end, they make incredibly important ultimate choices about who they are and what they stand for. A new episode debuts every Monday. Airs Mon/Wed/Fri at 7:30a and 7:30p, Tues/Thur/Sat at Noon and Midnight.
Daily Commercial News in 90 - Keep up-to-date and informed about the news and headlines shaping our community in just a minute and half as LSTV and the Daily Commercial bring you the weekly “News in 90” news wrap. Tune in Friday thru Monday at various times throughout the day for a look back at the past week’s news and trending stories.
The remainder of the schedule will be rounded out with content from The Florida Channel and Sunday's schedule will be a "Best day" of random programming.
