CMP Resolutions offers new flexible learning solutions to reduce conflict management costs
(PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013 -- Conflict management experts CMP Resolutions has launched its new e-learning and blended training package, entitled The Courage to Manage, to give time poor managers the skills to deal effectively with workplace disputes.
The e-learning and blended package is an innovative product that achieves conflict resolution competency in short learning bursts. It provides effective content to managers who need to be available in their offices or are constantly juggling workload demands.
The course is specially created to improve the competencies required to manage individual and team performance, raise tricky issues and manage difficult conversations with all stakeholders. With the CBI estimating that workplace conflict costs UK businesses £33 billion each year, employers are increasingly looking for ways to improve management skills in this area.
“Most organisations will over-spend in closing conflict down,” explains Katherine Graham, Managing Director of CMP Resolutions. “Companies have insurance in place to recover legal costs of employment tribunals and PR strategies to minimise reputational damage. As the Department for Business Innovation & Skills estimates that the average grievance costs £20,000 to manage, it makes sense to invest in the prevention of conflict.”
The package allows managers to learn in a flexible way, both on their own and within a virtual classroom. It offers the opportunity to develop the required knowledge and skills in short sessions that cover a variety of information and development methods.
The e-learning package incorporates:
• 3 x 30 minute modules (that can be tailored to the individual organisation)
• Scenario-based learning
• Interactive tests and quizzes to test learning
• A detailed video case study that highlights how to prepare for difficult conversations and which tools to use
• Access to additional online resources.
The blended learning modules lever the value in learning within a group situation and from an expert trainer. They comprise:
• 3 x 30 minute simultaneous online learning sessions, facilitated by a trainer
• Feedback on the learning achieved from the e-learning package
• A 30 minute individual telephone coaching session
• A 2 hour classroom role play and feedback session.
“Talking to the right people at the right time will liberate engagement and make people feel committed to the goals of the organisation,” says Katherine Graham. “In addition, managers will be able to progress their core functions rather than spending time agonising over, and putting right, difficult relationships at work.”
CMP Resolutions is a Hertfordshire based company that specialises in helping businesses to give its workforce the skills to recognise and manage conflict constructively. Its core belief is that a conflict-competent staff team increases productivity and reduces associated costs such as grievance investigations, employment tribunal claims and sickness absence.
