It’s a great learning experience for both parties. If the internship goes well, the company acquires exceptional talent already familiar with our process and systems, and the graduate gains a wonderful career opportunity with a growing organization.
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) July 31, 2013
Strategic Insurance Software and parent company NuGrowth Solutions are proud to be listed among the 82 employer partners in the newly established JobReady for Ohio Industry Internships & Co-Ops program.
As an employer partner, a representative of the NuGrowth/SIS team serves as an advisor to the project with the goal of enhancing the preparation of students for the intern and co-op experience. NuGrowth and SIS also post quarterly intern job listings to the Buckeye Careers Network, Ohio State's university-wide online resource to connect Ohio State students with employers for jobs, internships, co-ops, and career opportunities.
Since the program launch in February, the NuGrowth/SIS team has had the privilege of connecting with and hiring several interns through the program that have demonstrated strong potential as future employees.
The expectation is that there will be many more to come.
Alex Deak, COO of NuGrowth Solutions, and President and CEO of Strategic Insurance Software (SIS) sees the program as a “win-win” for all involved: “Both NuGrowth and SIS are learning organizations with a commitment to the growth and development of our associates. The JobReady program supports our learning philosophy by helping us expand the number of interns on our team. Our interns work on critical projects that not only benefit NuGrowth and Strategic Insurance Software, they benefit our customers and, just as importantly, the interns themselves.”
Beth Wenning, Director of Organizational Development agrees: “NuGrowth Solutions and SIS value talent eager to contribute to a team and gain “real world” experience for their resume as they navigate the process of deciding what would be a good career opportunity upon graduation. It’s a great learning experience for both parties. If the internship goes well, the company acquires exceptional talent already familiar with our process and systems, and the graduate gains a wonderful career opportunity with a growing organization.”

“Recruiting is a very important part of our business,” said NuGrowth CEO Greg Tillar. “As we continue to grow and scale, it is critical that we hire goal-oriented individuals that are not only talented, but are willing to learn. The JobReady program is an excellent addition to our ongoing organizational development efforts.”
