The album was released through Tate Music Group on July 25, 2013.

Tony Sings The Great American Classics exhibits a heartfelt rendition of American popular music, circa the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s. Russo captures the heart and soul of joyful tunes, the deep emotion of love songs and the invigorating tempo of upbeat dedications. The ten-track album features a montage of classic ballads including, Fly Me to the Moon and The Summer Wind, performed with timeless style. Russo agreed and the ten-track feature album was recorded.
