Top Figure Skating Website to Offer Live Streaming Video, Editorial Coverage for the Sport of Speedskating

US Speedskating, the most decorated Olympic winter sport in U.S. history, today announced a partnership with to broadcast three critical speedskating competitions leading up to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. will stream live coverage of the U.S. Single Distance Championships for both short and long track, both World Cup qualifying events and the 2013 Essent ISU Long Track World Cup event to be held Nov. 15-17, in Salt Lake City. The first two events will be available free to all registered users, while the Long Track World Cup event will be available to Speedskating Season Pass subscribers.

Already the premiere destination for figure skating coverage online, is positioned to become the most extensive online resource for speedskating fans leading up to the 2014 Olympic Games. Having acquired the U.S. media rights in January for the International Skating Union (ISU), which includes figure skating and speedskating events around the world, will add extensive coverage of the sport of speedskating. Editorial coverage, including news, photo galleries, event results, athlete bios and more, will launch Aug. 22-25, 2013, in conjunction with’s streaming coverage of the U.S. Short Track Single Distance Championships.

Prominent speedskating personalities will join the broadcasts as commentators, providing expert analysis and insight into the athletes’ journeys to the 2014 Olympics. Details on the team of commentators, a full speedskating broadcast schedule and subscription information for the Long Track World Cup will be announced at a later date.
