InTTENSITY Enters Final Phase of US State Department Social Media Pilot Project
Catonsville, MD (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- In Sept. 2012, InTTENSITY Corp. was chosen to conduct a pilot project for the State Department to demonstrate and determine how social media could be better used to determine population sentiment from around the globe. The pilot began with InTTENSITY’s flagship software, the Social Media Command Center (SMCC). The Command Center provides users with a real time view of sentiment from conversations in Twitter, Facebook, and 200 million other social media sources.
Analysts use InTTENSITY’s patented Natural Language Processing (NLP) to perform analysis at the clausal level and perform deep analytics into what and why of conversations on social media. InTTENSITY will utilize its new SOCINT practice to gain insight into what is being said around the globe. SOCINT is InTTENSITY’s recently unveiled practice of using its own analysts and tools to provide daily reports of conversations and sentiment in social media.
Of the application of the practice, InTTENSITY CEO Peter Coddington said, “Using technology to sift massive amounts of social media is the first hurdle – overcome by SMCC. The second challenge is the science/art/methodology of developing the means to put that discernment into an actionable report. InTTENSITY’s SOCINT practice combines the technology and analysts to make the most of social media.”
