The Tooth Fairy Wins 2013 Media of the Year Award
Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The Royal Council of Real Fairyland announced today that “Creative Child,” a national magazine that provides parents with the latest information on how to nurture their children’s creativity, honored The Real Tooth Fairies with their 2013 Media of the Year Award in the Character Building Program category.
The Creative Child Program describes their top awards such as “Media of the Year” as being awarded to only one product in a category. The Creative Child Awards Program, which compiles ratings from over 100 reviewers consisting of parents and educators, has given the award to The Real Tooth Fairies’ “Every Kindness Counts” program. This is a free enrichment activity at the certified Kid-Safe website where girls of tooth-losing age come to explore the world of The Real Tooth Fairies.
The honor is just the latest in a series of 15 awards for the Tooth Fairy world that celebrates each girl with affirming, character-building activities on the site, such as: “Create Your Dream Tree,” “Every Kindness Counts,” the “20 Lost Tooth Virtues,” “My Lost Tooth Garden,” and many other games and attractions. The Real Tooth Fairies website, where girls get matched to their own Tooth Fairy, is found at http://www.therealtoothfairies.com.
"It's truly an honor to be recognized by Creative Child Magazine as Media of the Year in the Character Building Program category. The publication is known for its focus on helping parents nurture their child’s development," said Marilyn Bollinger, founder and CEO of The Real Tooth Fairies, LLC. "We're thrilled to receive this award, because it confirms what so many parents tell us about the positive impact of The Real Tooth Fairies on their families. Our mission is to offer families a magical world of safe, enriching entertainment that builds character and inspires girls to actively spread kindness.”
Here’s how the “Every Kindness Counts” program works: the online activity invites girls to pick from a large collection of kind acts, called Kindness Tickets. They include: asking someone new to sit with them at lunch, carrying in groceries, helping with dinner, or putting a loving note in a surprise place for a family member to discover. Another kindness is creating their own story or song about kindness. Girls also like to create Custom Kindness Tickets on the website as they think of their own ideas for a kind act. For each kindness done, a girl records it and her Real Tooth Fairy delivers a free virtual ribbon or charm. Then the girl can view her ribbons and charms she received from her Tooth Fairy online. Once a girl completes 6 Kindness Tickets, she moves up to the next Kindness level with her Real Tooth Fairy cheering her on.
The Royal Council of the Real Fairyland, LLC has also won awards for Top Ten Toys in the Socially Responsible Category, Product of the Year, Best Vacation Products, Top Ten Award of Excellence, and Best Picks of New Children's Products, among others.
