RMG Accelerates Investment in Manufacturing

(RMG), a nonprofit corporation dedicated to creating manufacturing jobs in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Northeastern Ohio, accelerates investment in cutting edge technologies to be commercialized and applied in manufacturing in the region.
While focused on renewable energy and clean technology industries, RMG is not limited to specifically one facet of manufacturing. Along with creating manufacturing jobs, RMG is an advocate for innovation by seeking out the best and brightest technologies and entrepreneurs to assist with capital sourcing for manufacturing and commercialization. In addition, RMG is a regional development partner and investor in energy-intensive manufacturing businesses that are expanding and relocating their operations from overseas.
Over the course of the summer, RMG has screened a number of investment opportunities in the renewable energy, water management, agricultural, petrochemical and construction industries. Among the technologies vetted there are hydro power generation technologies, water quality management systems, high-efficiency and renewable cooling systems, water and air quality monitoring devices, sensor systems that effectively detect harmful toxins, high-precision tools for exploration of subsurface rock properties, low-cost process to convert wood biomass into a high-energy, clean and renewable coal-like substance in a single unit without pre-drying, a superior drainage technology, and a panelized building solution with steel studs and concrete panels.
