“Customers are delighted with the looks, ease of use, and performance of the new models, but there remains some confusion about the correlation between the new, 2013 models and the previous ones,” said Paul Belanger for D+M.

Earlier this year, Denon® Electronics, a premier manufacturer of high-quality home and personal audio products, introduced two new series of home theater receivers: the E-Series A/V receivers and the IN-Command home theater receivers (also known as the X-Series). These two new series of user-friendly home theater receivers with cutting-edge sound and images replace—and improve on—Denon’s prior A/V receiver models.

“Customers are delighted with the looks, ease of use, and performance of the new models, but there remains some confusion about the correlation between the new, 2013 models and the previous ones,” said Paul Belanger, technical product manager for Denon’s parent company D+M Group. “Which new models replace which of the previous models, and how do they compare? All models offer improvements over previous models—and in the higher-end models, the improvements are dramatic.”

E-Series A/V Receivers
In creating its E-Series receivers, Denon made what consumers are looking for its top priority with products that are smart, sophisticated, simple to set up and use. The series features the AVR-E400 7.1 Channel Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $599), AVR-E300 5.1 Channel Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $399), and AVR-E200 5.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $249). These E-Series A/V receivers make high-quality home entertainment more accessible than ever before.

Notably, both the AVR-E400 and AVR-E300 feature popular cloud based music streaming services like Pandora, SiriusXM and Spotify* as well as music streaming from all of today’s most popular mobile devices and smartphones. A host of leading audio capabilities deliver a powerful and immersive soundscape providing accurate music reproduction in a home stereo system and cinema-like surround sound.

IN-Command Series of Home Theater Receivers
Denon’s IN-Command Series “X Series” (formerly known as the “CI” model lineup) home theater receivers includes the AVR-X1000 Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $499), the AVR-X2000 Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $699), the AVR-X3000 Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $999), and the AVR-X4000 Network Home Theater Receiver (MSRP: $1299). Each model offers breathtaking surround sound capabilities, with unique features geared toward meeting the specific needs of today’s home theater enthusiasts and discerning custom installers.

In the new line-up, the IN-Command "X Series" models replace the higher-level custom-installer models in Denon's receiver lineup. Notably, each model features a common core set of IN-Command features such as a three-year warranty, Audyssey MultEQ XT, full network streaming functionality, variable multi-zone pre-outs, I/P control, web configuration, remote access, I/R serial inputs, detachable power cord, Control4 certification, front panel I/R lockouts, fully assignable digital and analog A/V inputs, new HDMI video select functionality, AM/FM tuners, enhanced front panel cosmetics and expanded amp assign configurations.
