The full schedule for the KERRVILLE FALL MUSIC FUNDRAISER is now posted on the website. It’s happening Labor Day Weekend, that’s August 30 - September 1. This celebration of songwriters and Texas wines and craft beers will be held at the Quiet Valley Ranch, 9 miles south of the Texas Hill Country resort community of Kerrville on TX Hwy 16.
The music is featured in three 5-hour concerts starting each evening at 7 PM. The outdoor theater gates open at 6 PM. Come early and get your favorite spot reserved with a blanket or a pillow on the wooden benches or bring your own chair and sit on the hill. Also plan to come out for the 2-hour afternoon concerts from 1 – 3PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Threadgill Theater, under totally covered seating.
The performers for the Friday August 31st evening concert includes Gordy Quist & Ed Jurdi of the Band of Heathens (Austin TX), Jon Vezner (Nashville TN), The Farewell Drifters (Nashville TN) and MilkDrive (Austin TX).
Saturday’s evening concert line-up consists of Ellis Paul (Charlottesville VA), Terri Hendrix (San Marcos TX), Ruthie Foster (Austin TX), Hal Ketchum (Wimberley TX)
Sunday night will feature Parker Millsap (Purcell OK), AJ Croce (Nashville TN), Steve Poltz (San Diego CA), BettySoo (Austin TX).
Also a part of the festivities, Texas craft beers have been brought in to complement the wonderful Texas wines that have been featured during this Labor Day event for over 20 years. The seminar for Texas wines and food pairings will be on Saturday from 3:30 - 5:30PM and the seminars for Texas craft beers on Sunday. The goal for the wine and beer tasting portion of the program is to send guests home with a greater understanding and appreciation for the ‘spirits’ of Texas. In recent years wines from Texas have compared favorably to those from France, California and the rest of the world. After 6 p.m. each evening, the Texas wineries and microbreweries will have booths in the main stage theater where they will have tastes, glasses, and bottles of their current wines and brews available for sale.
A booth featuring Home Brewers will be doing some informational seminars and we will have the home brewing equipment available too.
A wide range of food and beverages are available in the theater and the campgrounds. There are over 30 Arts & Crafts booths in the Kennedy Mainstage Theater area, escorted hill country bike rides, yoga, and like the Kerrville Folk Festival in the spring, the spectacular after-hours song circles and jam sessions in the campgrounds.
The three-day, Labor Day weekend advance discount adult ticket price is $100 and includes campground access and lot parking. Single-day, advance discounted tickets are currently available for $5 saving each night. Advance prices will expire midnight, August 27th. More ticket info is available on our ticketing page.
