Karen Performs at The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood.

Once I got those first few laughs, I was addicted!

KH, comedian, brought the house down at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood on July 10, 2013.

KH delighted the audience with her good-natured, light-hearted humor. The Comedy Store has always been a showcase and training ground for young comedians. Many famous comedians come to the club to work on their material in front of casting agents and other talent scouts who are looking for new talent to promote.

KH made her stand-up comedy debut at the famous Hollywood Improv in June 2013 and was approached by a recruiter for The Comedy Store as she left the stage after her routine. “I was shocked to say the least,” said KH. “My performance at the Improv was my very first time doing stand-up comedy.”

Her light-hearted, mostly clean, sense of humor about being middle-aged and dating had the audience roaring. KH has enjoyed a lucrative career as an author and public speaker and has moved into television and comedy.

“To me comedy is much more difficult than delivering a presentation as a public speaker which is my background. In comedy you have to deliver your presentation with pizazz. From your facial expressions to every little body movement to the timing and delivery, there is much more that goes into comedy as you consistently try to seduce laughter from the audience. Once I got those first few laughs, I was addicted,” said KH.

KH is in good company as many big-name headliners have performed here when they were just starting out including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Tim Allen, Rodney Dangerfield, Roseanne Barr, George Carlin, Jim Carrey, Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Howie Mandel, Kathy Griffin, Whoopi Goldberg, Eddie Murphy, Paul Rodriguez, Ben Stiller, Sarah Silverman, Robin Williams and more.

Additionally, KH is the Executive Producer of several TV shows for syndication including a talk show, a game show, an entertainment news show, cooking show called The Gourmaniac, travel show and even a Saturday morning kids show.

“I am both humbled and honored to have this opportunity and want to thank my friends, students and colleagues who came to watch and support me. You made it fun and I apologize for making your face hurt!"

KH currently has future comedy performances booked as is becoming in demand as a stand up comedian. Follow KH on Twitter to get updates about future performances.
