College Soccer Pre-Season Rankings Released for D1, D2, D3 Programs
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- The nation’s most comprehensive college soccer ranking service, BennettRank, announces the immediate release of rankings for the upcoming 2013 season. Pre-season rankings for all 1,820 D1, D2, and D3 men’s and women’s college soccer teams are available at: http://www.BennettRank.com/.
Designed to provide the highest Performance-based Prediction™ for head to head play, BennettRank is 100% computer model-driven and derived from the analysis of over 32,000 games played during the 2012 season.
Delivering a revolutionary improvement over traditional rankings, BennettRank’s proprietary algorithms weigh each team’s historical performance directly related to all other teams in their individual divisions and conferences.
The rankings are modeled to be the best predictor of who would win if two teams played today. During the season, visit BennettRank each week as rankings will be updated and posted each Monday morning throughout the season.
“We have no biases, quotas, or constituencies," says Gregg Bennett, CEO of BennettRank, "and we go where the data takes us. Many other ranking systems rely on subjective inputs. Unlike others, we are immune from the inherent biases of the existing subjective polls by coaches and writers. They can’t possibly see all games and thus are influenced by what they read and hear, not necessarily by what teams actually do on the field.”
An analytic approach to rankings means that BennettRank can update the rankings of all teams every week. Bennett believes this is a superior way to assess seasonal performance. “Every team will now know where they stand vis a vis others nationally, in their conference, and in their region, whether they are ranked in the top 25 of the major polls or not.”
