American Metal Roofs Helps Feed Needy Families Through Companies Who Care, a Mid-Michigan Community Outreach Program
Flint, MI (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- This August, American Metal Roofs will be distributing a semi-truckload of food to needy families in Flint, Michigan. This new community outreach initiative is being developed in co-operation with Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene.
Community outreach is an important part of our company's vision and the corporate culture at American Metal Roofs. Giving back to those in need, strengthens the fabric of our community by helping those who are going through some rough times. American Metal Roofs will be distributing food at Salem Lutheran Church, 2610 M L King Ave. Flint on August 21st, 2013 from 10 AM to 12 PM. American Metal Roofs' participation is part of a program, sponsored and manned by local companies with a goal to achieve 52 distributions annually. Each distribution can feed an average of 120 families.
American Metal Roofs is challenging other companies to sponsor a food distribution. "The ultimate goal," adds Farmer, "is 50+ food distributions throughout mid-Michigan every year. At a cost of just $2000, there are a lot of companies that could feed a lot of hungry families in this area. We're doing all we can to help this program grow."
