ATIV Launches EventPilot 7 Meeting App with Commenting and Smart Sync Across iOS and Android
Santa Rosa, Calif. (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- ATIV Software today announced the release of EventPilot 7 with engaging contextual discussion and private networking capabilities in its Enterprise, Standard, and Express editions. Association meeting planners and corporate event professionals can now increase attendee networking and valuable scientific dialogue through peer commenting and private messaging directly via their EventPilot mobile conference app.

“We have built a new engagement tool for event organizers to channel conversations and opinions in-context to the actual session where the scientific research is presented,” said Silke Fleischer, CEO and co-founder of ATIV Software. “This turns the mobile conference app into an on-topic discussion platform where all attendees can contribute.”
Backchannel communication during a presentation can more easily be followed than an indistinct Twitter feed since the comment stream in EventPilot is automatically linked to a particular session within the app. Organizers can limit access to registered attendees, which can be especially important for Enterprise or corporate meetings.
ATIV, which already pioneered smart data updates for event apps, extends its intelligent syncing process to the new networking features to ensure an uninterrupted user experience on limited WiFi.
EventPilot 7 allows conference app users with multiple different devices to easily sync their personal schedule, notes and bookmarks across the iOS and Android operating systems.
“This release is bringing our mobile event app to a new level, where attendees engage in scientific discourse and easily network with each other, in addition to managing all aspects of their key learnings at the meeting,” said Eric Converse, co-founder and CTO of ATIV Software.
New Features
In-Context Commenting and Private Messaging with EventPilot Connect
Attendee commenting offers active on-topic discussion within a particular session. An optional Attendee-to-Attendee Messaging module is available for organizers to enable direct private messaging among registered users.
Extended Data and Schedule Sync Across Devices
EventPilot’s proven data sync is enhanced to synchronize the personal schedule, notes, and bookmarks across devices and even across different platforms. Additionally, data sync smartly caches comments and messages to ensure the best offline user experience. Schedule data can be synchronized with external systems such as a registration website via the EventPilot Schedule Sync API.
High Performance Search for Large Meetings
With the enhanced keyword search and Boolean exclusion, attendees quickly search through thousands of sessions or research abstracts.
Enhanced Security and One-Sign-On Access
The app uses secure app-to-server communication technologies and the option to use a single login to control access to the app, downloadable schedule, and protected PowerPoint presentations or PDFs.
App Usage Analytics
With the new EventPilot Connect component, organizers can access anonymous usage reports about the most popular sessions, speakers, and exhibitors to help make strategic decisions for speaker selection, session topics, and sponsorships for future events.
Availability
EventPilot 7 is available immediately and supports native apps for iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones or tablets, and Kindle Fire. (Free Web-app included for Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices).
