General Devices Releases e-Bridge Mobile Telemedicine System for iPad
Ridgefield, NJ (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- e-Bridge Mobile Telemedicine System is now available on iPad.
General Devices recently announced that e-Bridge Mobile is now available for use as an iPad application. This release, coupled with the release earlier this year of e-Bridge Mobile for Windows-based mobile PCs and tablets, continues the expansion of General Devices’ pioneering EMS telemedicine system.
According to General Devices’ President Curt Bashford, “With e-Bridge Mobile, telemedicine is now a truly mobile, practical, and affordable reality.” In the past, he explains, mobile telemedicine meant the use of custom equipment built into an ambulance, or expensive redundant equipment to carry. e-Bridge Mobile running on an iPad, ToughBook or mobile computer eliminates that need. “And,” he continues, “it leverages customers’ existing equipment used for ePCRs and the like. This addresses the need for cost reduction, improvements in care and accountability - all prime factors driving healthcare today.”
According to Bashford, e-Bridge is designed specifically for emergency telemedicine to handle day-to-day 911 EMS and disaster response. e-Bridge Mobile expands that usage to include Community Paramedicine and Mobile Healthcare. Now healthcare or emergency personnel can perform live consults at the patient’s side on a mobile device, documenting observations and treatments. Video can be streamed live or stored and forwarded later. “Virtually all data—video, photos, forms, 12-leads—can be transmitted easily. Available for use on cellular data networks and “FirstNet” ready, e-Bridge is also HIPAA compliant and offers SIP Compatible Video which further extends its reach to in-hospital systems.”
e-Bridge Mobile is also compatible with General Devices’ full featured hospital-based CAREpoint Workstation. Together with e-Net Messenger, their secure messaging system, they provide a suite of solutions for day-to-day EMS and disaster management, as well as Mobile Health and Community Paramedicine.
