BRIC Language Systems Announces the Winner of the 2013 Ryan McMunn International Business Scholarship
(PRWEB) August 02, 2013 -- BRIC Language Systems is proud to announce Chaoliang Chen as the 2013 recipient of the Ryan McMunn International Business Scholarship at the University of Colorado - Boulder. Chaoliang is originally from Hangzhou, China and has won the award for the second year in a row. He is majoring in Finance while pursuing an international business certificate from the Leeds School of Business. Chaoliang is the type of person that likes to challenge himself. As an international transfer student he said last year “it is not easy to adapt to a new life in the US, however, I would never give up the chance to try.” He has not only tried but is succeeding in his studies as well as his personal life.
During Chaoliang’s junior year he was initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the highest honor an undergraduate business student can receive at a school accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This honor is reserved for only those students in the top 10% of a bachelors degree business program. Chaoliang was included in the Dean’s list that same year. He has worked as an intern at Societe General and is active in community service. He served as a volunteer giving free tax assistance to low-income individuals, the elderly, and people with limited understanding of English. He enjoyed becoming more involved in the Boulder community while helping others as a volunteer. Chaoliang is currently back in Hangzhou, China and working on getting into graduate school following his senior year.
