New York, NY (PRWEB) August 01, 2013
ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier managed service, management software development and professional services firm, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company its latest patent for automated application and systems management technology. US Patent No. 8,499,204 was issued on July 30th, 2013 and is entitled “Method and Apparatus for Maintaining the Status of Objects in Computer Networks Using Virtual State Machines.” The patented methodology is utilized in ShoreGroup’s CaseSentry Systems Management solution to monitor the health and performance of complex networked solutions, automatically validate and respond to current and emerging issues, and provide actionable visualizations and analytics that empower support organizations to eliminate or reduce business impact.
The latest patent in ShoreGroup’s portfolio includes CaseSentry’s automated management and workflow technology that conducts in-depth monitoring via programmable Advanced Logic Profiles (ALPs) that define application and system-specific management instruction sets. The ALPs work in conjunction with other CaseSentry modules to identify and validate the precise cause of a network issue, or recognize trends or patterns where proactive response can be taken to avert business disruption. A series of CaseSentry processes are then invoked on a context-specific basis to accelerate service response. These automated processes range from auto-remediation of the issue, to obtaining and analyzing diagnostic data or taking other steps to assist engineers, opening intelligent trouble tickets, and notifying the responsible workgroup. CaseSentry’s integrated management modules span the complete support process and produce a wealth of analytics for valuable insight on both operations and service history.
Dave Lovy, ShoreGroup’s Chief Engineer, Brant Fagan, Manager of Software Development and Robert Bojanek, Executive Vice President, are co-inventors of this newly patented methodology. This is the eighth in a series of allowed patents awarded for CaseSentry’s innovative automated management architecture and processes.
Commenting on this achievement, Robert Bojanek said, “Within the Internet of Everything, the number, complexity and diversity of applications and systems supporting an organization’s vital business processes has never been greater. Our latest patent reinforces the uniqueness of CaseSentry’s design, which not only delivers the depth of management needed at the individual system level, but also supports the scalability to manage the tens of thousands of systems now found within major enterprise and service provider environments. At the same time, our automated management capabilities enable organizations to cost-effectively scale their support capabilities to meet this demand by shifting activities previously performed manually to CaseSentry processes that minimize, or even eliminate, human involvement throughout the service lifecycle.”
