ReVision LASIK and Cataract Center is happy to announce that we are one of first centers in the region to offer patients a progressive new treatment for moderate to severe dry eye, Intense Pulsed Light Therapy.

Dry eye sufferers in Central Ohio… rejoice! ReVision Advanced Laser Center, Central Ohio’s leader in advanced vision care, is proud to be one of the first centers in the region to offer patients a progressive new treatment for moderate to severe dry eye. Called Intense Pulsed Light therapy, this treatment can provide long-term relief for a condition that affects over 40 million people in the US alone.

IPL technology is most commonly used to treat skin conditions such as rosacea and sun damage, however it was recently discovered that with the appropriate wavelength settings, the technology could effectively treat dry eye symptoms as well. It accomplishes this by stimulating the glands that produce the tears needed to lubricate your eyes. The result is increased tear function, and a resulting decrease in typical dry eye symptoms, such as itching, burning, redness and blurriness.

Patients undergo a series of treatments over several months, with most patients experiencing an immediate improvement after just one treatment. Each treatment only lasts a few minutes, and there is little to no discomfort. You can return to normal activities immediately after treatment.

ReVision is proud to be one of the first centers to adopt IPL technology for dry eye relief. We would be pleased to extend the opportunity to local news outlets to visit our center, observe the process, and even undergo a complimentary IPL dry eye treatment.

Thanks to this revolutionary new treatment, dry eye sufferers can ditch the temporary solutions for long-lasting relief. Refreshed eyes and renewed vision is just a phone call away.
