Steelray Software Releases New Project Cost and Schedule Visualization and Analysis Software
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 02, 2013 -- Steelray Software, LLC, today announced the general availability of its newest software product: Steelray Javelin.
Javelin allows project analysts, schedulers, and project managers to view and analyze large project data sets in order to understand the “ground truth” of how a project is performing. Javelin's power lies in the comparison and reconciliation of the cost and schedule data into one combined analysis.
“It’s common for schedule data and cost data to be on two different software platforms,” says Brian Leach, CEO of Steelray. “Javelin is the first solution to perform an analysis on a combined set of data.” Javelin accomplishes this by supporting the emerging international UN/CEFACT XML standard, which is now being required on the largest Department of Defense contracts. The largest project management platform companies have pledged to support this standard, and this allows Javelin to provide unprecedented data checks and visualizations.
Existing products were designed to analyze cost data, and others (like Steelray’s Project Analyzer) were designed to provide sophisticated project schedule analysis. Javelin is the first of a new breed of software products that take advantage of the UN/CEFACT XML standard and were designed from scratch to provide true integrated analysis.
