(PRWEB) August 02, 2013 -- Hundreds of Facebook staff and executives have expressed their grief over the death of the company's head corporate chef, Josef Desimone, who was killed in a motorcycle accident last Monday. Victim advocate and motorcycle accident attorney Herb Auger says that his family has options.
Desimone was a “Facebook legend and institution,” according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He came to the company in 2008 and spearheaded the creation of world-class restaurants at Facebook offices around the word according to San Jose Mercury News (7.23.13).
“This kind of tragedy is all too common,” said Auger, the founder of Auger and Auger law firm. He has frequently represented motorcyclists and their families after disastrous accidents. “Bikers are the most vulnerable people on the road. A careless moment that might mean a fender-bender for a car can cost a motorcyclist his life.”
Details of the crash were not immediately available and Auger urged the Desimone family to speak with an attorney.
“I work with the families of many injured, and killed, motorcyclists,” he said. “Oftentimes they feel as if there is nothing they can do. That's not necessarily the case.”
“No one wants to think about money at a time like this,” Auger said. “But the bills will roll in regardless.”
