Schumacher Group Chosen as Emergency Department Service Provider for Tulane Medical Center
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- Schumacher Group (SG) announces a new association with Tulane Medical Center’s downtown campus in New Orleans, a 278 bed academic medical center.
Tulane Medical Center is a nationally recognized teaching, research and medical facility admired for their academic excellence and innovation in medicine. While their downtown campus was established in 1976, the institution began in 1834 as a small medical college. The hospital is now jointly owned by HCA and Tulane University and offers high quality care, specialized inpatient and outpatient hospital services, postgraduate medical education programs, and applied research projects with more than 500 credentialed physicians.
SG has provided staffing and management services in the Emergency Department at Tulane’s Lakeside campus, a 12,000 ED volume facility, since 2010.

Dr. Beverly Gladney, SG Regional Medical Officer, will work directly with Tulane’s Medical Director and ED physician staff and will assist in the coordination of services with the Tulane Lakeside campus.

In a letter released to Tulane’s physician partners and hospital leaders this month, Tulane CEO Robert Lynch stated that the partnership with SG will further enhance their patient care model, drive alignment, and enhance patient outcomes.
