You Can Get Hired have been helping to navigate the often choppy waters of the employment search method for three years. Their mission is to support lowering the unemployment rate and one of the ways they do this by offering complimentary workshops at the Maple Grove Community Center.

You Can Get Hired has been helping to navigate the often choppy waters of the employment search method for three years. Their mission is to support lowering the unemployment rate and one of the ways they do this by offering complimentary workshops at the Maple Grove Community Center. These workshops connect baby boomer job seekers with resources to use during their transition as well as tips and tools to get them noticed and hired more quickly.

Some of the topics covered at these workshops include: how to prepare for the interview, questions to ask in the interview, cover letters, the job resume, resume objectives, and how to utilize online job boards and social media in the job search. In addition to unique networking opportunities, twice a month there are also guest speakers who address the big and small questions of the job seeking process.

You Can Get Hired’s next workshop is on August 6th at the Maple Grove Community Center and will be chock full of extras! There will be a bonus afternoon session that will include professional photographs that are perfect to use for LinkedIn profiles and in the job search. It will also include fashion advice from Michelle Dustin (Arc Value Village Fashion Consultant) on How to Dress for Success on a Thrift Store Budget!
