Our purpose is to provide great software to fitness businesses so that they can help more people become healthier and happier. It is a key part of our culture to help our own team members become healthier and happier too.

In the latest edition of Outside Magazine, Zen Planner was ranked #2 in the magzine's sixth annual "Best Places to Work" list. The full list is available online on at OutsideOnline.com/bestplacestowork.
Outside’s "Best Places to Work" project celebrates the innovative companies setting a new standard for a healthy work-life balance. The list was compiled with the help of the Outdoor Industry Association and Best Companies Group. The year-long selection process began with an outreach effort that identified a wide range of non-profit and for-profit organizations with at least 15 employees working in an office in the United States.
"We are honored to be recognized as one of Outside Magazine's Best Places to Work," says Jeff Gardner, CEO of Zen Planner. "Our purpose is to provide great software to fitness businesses so that they can help more people become healthier and happier. It is a key part of our culture to help our own team members become healthier and happier too."
Zen Planner supports employees through a variety of initiatives including company-paid fitness memberships, outdoor team events, Fitness Thursdays, a bike-commute-friendly workplace, and an abundance of healthy snacks. A unique tradition at Zen Planner is the aptly named "Chug and Learn" session. Twice per month, the whole company gets together over snacks and drinks to discuss the latest customer needs and how to address them with new software development and business improvements.
"We’re thrilled to celebrate all 100 of these forward-thinking companies," says Michael Roberts, Senior Executive Editor of Outside. "They believe success depends on helping their employees live more active and fulfilling lives. The kinds of benefits they’re providing—free fitness classes, flexible hours, subsidized healthy meals, lots of time out of the office—result in a more productive and engaged staff."
