Without the generosity of others, MedEquip4Kids would not be able to help children to enjoy the care that they need.

UK Healthcare, a leading provider of personal and corporate health cash plans, has donated cash to MedEquip4Kids, a North West charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
Sometimes, the little things that we take for granted can make a massive difference to a young child’s health and wellbeing. From fresh air and birdsong to the sight of aeroplanes leaving trails through the sky, it’s these things that put a smile on a young child’s face. But MedEquip4Kids couldn’t provide the stimulation they need without the charity of others.
For three years Swanbourne Gardens has provided a safe haven in which children can receive visual and aural stimulation and therapy with the help of a team of passionate and fun loving carers.
The parent of one regular visitor to Swanbourne Gardens said “Sam loves anything sensory like lights and music. He has been going to Swanbourne Gardens about once a month for the last three years and the staff are really good with him. He enjoys being outside in the garden and enjoys watching the birds and the planes going past.”
The facility is just one of a number developed by MedEquip4Kids, a northwest based charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and babies throughout the area, who are vulnerable for a variety of reasons. They achieve this by providing state of the art medical equipment to healthcare organisations and developing therapeutic environments and play areas which offer children respite from their illnesses and disabilities. But without the generosity of others, MedEquip4Kids would not be able to help children to enjoy the care that they need.
Thankfully, companies like UK Healthcare have provided real financial backing which allows the charity to continue a number of projects for various hospitals and centres in the northwest.
As a leading provider of personal and corporate health cash plans, UK Healthcare offer a variety of policies which allow plan holders to claim back the money they spend on a wide range of medical services, including dental and optical treatments, health screenings, medical prescriptions and hospital stays, up to agreed policy limits.
But the company also backs a variety of fantastic charities and healthcare institutions throughout the UK, including MedEquip4Kids. Last year, UK Healthcare raised more than £56,000 for health related charities. It was a record breaking year of charity work, but one that they intend to improve upon further in 2013.
For now, kids can continue to enjoy the benefits of their time at Swanbourne Gardens, and thousands of other vulnerable children will receive the very best care and medical resources available at healthcare organisations all over the northwest.
