(PRWEB UK) 5 August 2013 -- Network Rail have launched a safety campaign using CCTV of accidents at rail stations to encourage people to take more care after an evening of drinking - reports the BBC on July 31 in their article ‘Station safety campaign launched by Network Rail’.
According to the BBC, the campaign comes after 1,600 people were hurt in slips, trips and falls at stations across the country with the most incidents happened at Leeds station, followed by Paddington and Liverpool Street in London.
The footage shows people falling on steps, escalators, over luggage and off platforms. In the past year there has been one death, 51 broken bones, 19 dislocations, five concussions and dozens of cuts and bruises.
