Paddle Sports Make Exercise Fun at Hilton Head Health Summer Weight Loss Program
Hilton Head Island, SC (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- Hilton Head Health (H3) has teamed up with H2O Watersports and Outside Hilton Head to offer a comprehensive paddle sports program that gives guests an opportunity to kayak and stand-up paddle board (SUP) the beautiful low country water ways. The over 60 years of combined experience in healthy living create a synergy between the three companies that provides a unique opportunity to see exercise in a new light.
“The most wonderful thing about kayaking and SUP is that participants forget they are exercising,” says Danielle Dunn, H3’s Fitness Director. “Our guests often return from a trip having experienced a great workout and finding a new fitness pursuit they can continue when they return home from their vacation.”
H3 offers two to three trips per week at some of the most iconic areas on Hilton Head Island. “Paddling around the Harbor Town Lighthouse or through the backwaters of the Broad Creek gives our guests the chance to see all that Hilton Head Island has to offer,” says Dunn.
According to the American Council on Exercise (ACE) a 60-90 minute paddling trip can burn between 350-500 calories, depending on the participant’s weight. “It’s really quite stunning how effective paddle sports can be at facilitating weight loss,” commented Dunn.
