Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (PRWEB) August 13, 2013

The first company to sign on as a Founding Partner sponsor for the 2013 Web.com Tour Championship is Ponte Vedra-based Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices (http://www.legacytrustcompany.com). Web.com Tour President Bill Calfee announced today that Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices will be the Official Family Wealth Management Firm of the Web.com Tour Championship. The Web.com Tour Championship is being held Sept. 23-29 on Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass.

The Web.com Tour Championship is part of the newly created four-event Web.com Tour Finals, and the culminating event of the 2013 Web.com Tour season. All 50 PGA TOUR cards will be determined at the Web.com Tour Championship, making the Web.com Tour the path to the PGA TOUR.

As one of the key tournament sponsors, Legacy Trust will also be the title sponsor of the Friday night concert, which is open to all ticket holders. Legacy Trust executives saw their support of the Web.com Tour Championship as a natural fit for the firm’s marketing strategy.

Kristin McLauchlan, Chairman & CEO of Legacy Trust, stated, “The most compelling reasons for signing on with the Web.com Tour Championship is the commitment to area charities and giving to local non-profit organizations. Part of what we do is help our clients develop their charitable giving plans, and our philosophy is that we should take a leadership role in the community from a corporate giving perspective.” McLauchlan continued, “It is our responsibility to support cultural and sporting events that can help our community prosper. The Web.com Tour Championship is going to be a big event that we believe will do great things for our community and we want to be a part of that at the ground level.”

When approached by PGA TOUR officials to support the event, McLauchlan jumped at the chance. The first company to sign on as a Founding Partner, McLauchlan felt a sense of leadership to demonstrate to other business leaders that being part of this event is the right thing to do.

“Local businesses like Legacy Trust are what make the Web.com Tour Championship possible,” said Matt Rapp, Executive Director of the Web.com Tour Championship. “We greatly value our relationship with them, and their support of the tournament and its role in the Jacksonville community.”
