Driving Safety Club Launches Website to Save Lives and Raise Driving Safety Awareness
Port Saint Lucie, Florida (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- Driving is a responsibility – not a right. Simple words with major meaning and the primary reason for the launch of a nationwide effort to save lives and raise awareness of driving safety by The Driving Safety Club. The website, http://www.TheDrivingSafetyClub.com was created by The Driving Safety Club founder and president Tony Michaels. The former auto executive and New York musician is on a mission to save lives and make driving safer.
“The number one goal of The Driving Safety Club website is to save lives by educating drivers about the most critical driving issues of the day, no matter what those issues happen to be,” said Michaels. “I fear that if the general public does not change their attitude towards safe driving, all of our roadways will get more dangerous for each and every one who drives or travels on America’s highways. The Driving Safety Club website is a dynamic resource that individual drivers and driving safety organizations can rely upon for relevant important safe driving information,” added Michaels.
The Driving Safety Club and its website is dedicated to providing driving safety lessons in many formats, including Safe Driving Quizzes and digital videos, to highlight and educate young and old alike about safety issues critical to safe driving. Information, including highway accident statistics and safety tips is available to prepare drivers to be safer before getting behind the wheel of a car, truck, motorcycle, or other personal or commercial vehicle.
“The truth is we are all responsible for each other’s lives when we drive and we need to take this responsibility very seriously. For example, insurance companies call them ‘accidents’ however, if a family member or you or I are involved in a serious or fatal accident, we call it a tragedy. The truth is, in most cases, these tragedies could have been avoided by simply changing basic attitudes towards driving. And, by realizing the enormous responsibility each of one of us takes on every time we get behind the wheel” said Michaels.
The Driving Safety Club has already attracted the attention of various safe driving advocate organizations and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. Michaels says it’s testimony to the desire everyone has to make driving safer.
“Can individuals and organizations make a difference in how safe our highways are for drivers? Absolutely! It’s been proven by organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and similar programs throughout the nation,” said Michaels.
Today, thanks to organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, most of us no longer think that impaired driving is a joke. Through education and awareness, we now realize how ignorant and dangerous the one more for the road really is. Responsible drivers now have a new phrase to use, “designated driver”.
“Our Mission is to simply make everyone more aware of driving safety issues whether it’s about new laws, vehicle recalls, or distracted driving. We hope you will find The Driving Safety Club a helpful and informative lifesaving tool. That is our goal. Remember, we're all in this together because Driving is a Responsibility…not a Right,” concluded Michaels.
