Be First Clothing To Sponsor Fighter Performance Bonuses for Badbeat 10 Once Again
Santa Ana, CA (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- ‘Be First’ Knockout of the Night and ‘Be First’ Submission of the Night
BAMMA USA CEO Brett Roberts comments on the partnership with Be First Clothing were as follows: "We keep moving forward with partners that are interested in the long term mutual growth of our company and our product. Be First Clothing continues to make that commitment, in part through their sponsorship of the fight night bonuses. I know that the fighters appreciate it and I’m honored with the relationship that we have with them."
The inaugural ‘Be First’ fighter performance bonuses were awarded immediately following ‘Badbeat 9 presented by Budweiser’ on May 31, 2013. In his final match as a professional MMA fighter, Gabe ‘Godzilla’ Ruediger received the ‘Be First’ Submission of the Night Award for his slick arm bar finish of fellow retiring MMA fighter, Scott ‘K.O’ Catlin. After his second round stoppage of the rematch with Catlin, Ruediger said, "My whole entire time I’m trying to win the fight." In addition to the satisfaction of avenging an earlier loss to Catlin, Ruediger received his ‘Be First’ Submission bonus of cash and merchandise (valued at over $350.00) from BAMMA USA CEO Brett Roberts inside the post-fight interview room after the event, at which time Ruediger exclaimed "BAMM!"
The ‘Be First’ Knockout of the Night Award was presented to Terrion ‘The Flash’ Ware. Ware lived up to his nickname by utilizing his quick devastating power to stop his opponent just 48 seconds into his fight. Ware remarked about the move that earned him the bonus by saying, "It just happened so fast. He shot down, I did a flying knee, I caught him and I knew he was out after I hit him." For his impressive efforts, Ware was also awarded a ‘Be First’ prize package valued at over $350.00. The complete video presentations of the ‘Be First’ Submission and Knockout of the Night Awards can be found on the BAMMA USA website (http://www.bammausa.com/badbeat/badbeat-mma-fights-videos/badbeat-mma-fighter-interviews/).
These performance-based bonuses provide an additional incentive for the fighters to go for a finish in their fights. In fact, 7 of the 10 fights at Badbeat 9 ended in stoppages. Badbeat 10 on August 9, 2013 is scheduled for another evening of exciting MMA action to a projected sold out audience at the world famous Commerce Casino (Commerce, CA). Headlining the event is a Championship Title fight between the champion Chris Culley and contender Jesse Newell for the Badbeat MMA Featherweight Belt. Ticket prices range from $60 to $150. About Be First
The Be First Clothing Company began as the fulfillment of a promise made between two siblings. When the brother, Eric, passed away in May 2012, the sister, Ace, finalized the plans they shared to start a clothing company together, that targeted the combat sports community and specifically, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). As a black belt, Eric was to find talented fighters to wear the clothing that Ace would design. The knowledge that Eric passed on to Ace about combat sports is the basis that she will use to make her company a success. The foundation for Ace’s drive to succeed comes from her 4 children and her fiancée. The company’s unique moto exemplifies not only its mission statement but also the determination that most successful fighters display. “Be First to Stand Up, Be First to Strike and Be First to Finish.” For more information, visit the company website at http://www.BeFirstClothing.com.
