Summer Antique Postcard & Paper American Show and Sale Comes to Springfield
Springfield, MO (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- "This summer we have one of the nationally known mid-western states dealers attending, Barry Yancey, of Anderson, Indiana, as well as our other quality postcard and paper vendors from the surrounding states," said Jim Taylor, show organizer and owner of Courthouse Square Antique Postcards. "Barry always has great new material for area collectors and archivists, and we are glad to have him back in Springfield."
The Summer Antique Postcard and Paper Americana show involves buyers and sellers bringing nearly a million antique postcards for sale, as well as buying collections and accumulations.
Vendors have original historical photos of Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Civil War, Western Americana, Route 66, Mining, Sports, Political, Maps, Native Americans, Rodeo, Movie, Railroadiana, Oklahoma and Indian Territory, Victorian era, Kewpies, 101 Ranch, and other historical paper memorabilia and ephemera.
Buyers are providing free appraisals of most all vintage postcards, old photographs, and paper ephemera as time allows.
"Early bird" admission is available at 9 a.m., Friday for $5 and covers both days. Regular admission is $3 for both days. Show times are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, August 23, and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, August 24.
The show is scheduled for Lamplighter Inn & Conference Center, 2820 N Glenstone, Springfield, Mo. (Directions: North I-44 at Glenstone/Exit 80 A.)
