Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- Not only will August 10 mark the kickoff of the 2013 Mystik Lubricant's Terracross Championship, it will also be the day motorsports enthusiasts and fans can help YMCA Youth Intervention Services. The YMCA Y Ride? For The Youth will start at 11 A.M. at Simply Street Bikes in Eden Prairie, Minn., and will include a Whisper Performance Motorcycle Stunt Show, Bike Games and giveaways. At 2 P.M., riders will leave and head for ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minn. to see the Terracross Race. Ride tickets are $20 and that also gets you into the Terracross race.
Proceeds will benefit the YMCA Youth Intervention Services. Youth Intervention Services serves youth in our community in need of support and resources including kids who are at risk, homeless, or involved with the juvenile justice system.
"The YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities is so much more than a 'swim and gym,'" explained Lisa Pung, Program Executive for Youth Intervention Services at the YMCA. "The Y is really about youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Youth Intervention Services provides opportunities for youth in our communities facing barriers to get connected to caring adults and resources to help them achieve their goals. We are excited to partner with Mystick Lubricants' TerraCross Championship to spread the message about what the Y is doing for our young people."

Getting these kids interested in motorsports such as Terracross is a great way to help them see some of the opportunities this world has to offer."
In addition, Pro Rider Chet Michaelson will promote YMCA on-track in a YMCA-sponsored Polaris RZR Side-X-Side.
"It’s really an honor to be representing causes such as the YMCA that help our youth," said Michaelson. "And to promote powersports and drive a Polaris RZR at the same time is just icing on the cake."

The Mystik Lubricants Terracross Championship features the best off-road and action sports athletes competing on Quads and Side-X-Sides on a rough, muddy course complete with obstacles such as rocks, logs, jumps and tight turns. Races are aired on CBS Sports Network.
The next event on the Terracross Championship schedule will take place August 10-11 at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota, located just North of Minneapolis.
