PCM of California, Inc. (PCM), an Associa company, congratulates Sue Evans, Director of Management Services, recipient of a coveted Vision Award by the California Association of Community Managers (CACM), her second such honor in the last six years.
One of only 14 community association professionals throughout California to be honored with such an award annually, Evans’ honor this year was in the category "Creative Solutions for Problem Solving, Level 2."
Evans convened a "Spirit Committee" geared towards supporting needy families in the Lake Forest community she manages. The committee identifies one household per month that is struggling to make required repairs to its property due to financial hardship; volunteers are then solicited to bring the property into conformance with HOA rules and regulations, helping the family avoid costly fines.
"To receive this honor is to be recognized as the ‘best of the best’ in our profession and for going out of one’s way to improve the quality of life of residents in the communities we manage," said PCM CEO Donny Disbro. "Sue has not only helped improve the appearance of the community, she has instilled a sense of community by encouraging homeowners to help one another in times of need."
Evans, who also won a Vision Award from CACM in 2007, has worked with PCM since 2006 after more than a decade in the construction management industry.
CACM’s Vision Awards ceremony took place on July 26th during the organization’s annual EXPO and Conference at the Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Vision Awards are bestowed upon deserving community association professionals, including legal and finance experts.
CACM’s membership is comprised of more than 3,000 California-based professionals working in California’s multi-billion dollar community association management industry.
