Datalogic to Display Innovative Solutions for the Retail Industry at RetailNOW 2013
Eugene, OR (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- Datalogic, the global leader in retail automatic data capture recognizes that improving the in-store shopping experience is priority one for retailers around the world. In Booth 101 at RetailNOW, Datalogic will demonstrate how advanced technology and store automation enable retailers to provide the consumer with a significantly improved shopping experience. RetailNOW 2013, will be held in Las Vegas on August 4 – 7 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The Magellan™ 9800i scanner-scale is a digital imaging multi-plane retail checkout solution and will be shown during RetailNOW. This addition to the Magellan family of scanners is targeted for use in the highest volume retail checkout environments. With digital imagers in all planes, the 9800i reads both 1D and 2D bar codes without requiring item orientation by the cashier. This results in a faster checkout and an improved shopping experience for consumers. The Magellan 9800i scanner offers an optional feature, the Top Down Reader (TDR) which incorporates a customer facing mobile device reader that enables shoppers to quickly and easily self-scan digital coupons from mobile devices, paper-based coupons, and loyalty cards.
Datalogic will present self-shopping solutions that allow the customer to take charge of their in-store experience. The Joya™ handheld terminal is Datalogic’s device used for self shopping solutions. It offers advanced technology and performance in an ergonomic form factor that is easy to use. Datalogic’s innovative Shopevolution™self shopping solution, makes the marketing experience enjoyable, effortless and personalized for each customer. Both of these will be on display at RetailNOW.
Also on display will be the Datalogic LaneHawk® loss prevention solution for bottom of the basket (BOB). This vision-based system turns BOB losses into profits for retailers. The LaneHawk unit integrates with the POS and uses imaging technology to recognize items below the basket without seeing a bar code. When an item is detected, the LaneHawk features notify the cashier to verify the item and add it to the sale.
From the smallest specialty store to giant superstores, the Datalogic family of handheld scanners always guarantees fast and accurate bar code reading using patented ‘Green-Spot’ technology that minimizes the shopper’s checkout time. During RetailNOW, Datalogic will be showing both 1D and 2D, corded and cordless handheld solutions including the popular family of Gryphon™ scanners, as well as the recently released QuickScan™ 2400 2D scanner.
Be sure to stop by Booth 101 and see all the Datalogic innovative solutions aimed at improving the customer shopping experience from the time they enter the store until they leave the checkout.
