Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- Intarcia Tub Takes Starring Role in MTI Baths’ 25th Anniversary Celebration on August 6
Company Gives Back to Environmental Advocacy Organization via Charity Auction
MTI Baths – known for creatively designed and distinctive artisan-quality tubs – is launching its 25th anniversary celebration with the unveiling of a freestanding bathtub with elegant silver inlays, giving it a rich and prestigious appearance.
MTI Baths is hosting an event for media and dignitaries on Tuesday, August 6 at 10am to celebrate its 25th anniversary and unveil the special silver inlayed Intarcia bathtub. The Intarcia will be auctioned off on eBay (item #171095860166) the week of August 5-12 as part of a week-long celebration of the company’s silver anniversary. All proceeds from the online auction will go directly to environmental nonprofit Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK). CRK is solely dedicated to protecting and preserving the Chattahoochee River, its lakes and tributaries for the people, fish and wildlife that depend on them.
“MTI’s headquarters and factories are less than five miles from the Chattahoochee, and we are among the four million people who depend on the river for water supply,” said Kathy Adams, CEO of MTI Baths.
The Intarcia tub is placed on an inverted pedestal and has a classic, elegant design. It is crafted in MTI’s exclusive Engineered Solid Stone™ (ESS), which is a poured mixture of organic minerals and binding agents that looks and feels like natural stone, and is consistently
Featured in MTI’s Boutique Collection, the Intarcia was designed by Matthew Quinn, a leading expert in luxury kitchen and bath design who has been a major force in the design community for more than 16 years and has garnered numerous design awards. The Intarcia reflects Quinn’s philosophy that tubs have the design potential to be customized to address customers’ specific needs. The tub’s name has its roots in the Italian “intarsiare”, meaning to inlay. “It was designed to enable customers to customize it with inlays if they choose,” said Adams.
MTI’s Commitment to “Green”
“Recycling and utilizing recycled materials has always been a priority for MTI,” Adams added. MTI searches out new materials and ways that will enable the company to be even more proactive in preserving the environment. More than 40% of the materials used in the manufacturing of MTI acrylic soaking tubs and shower bases are post-industrial recycled material. MTI uses the latest chemicals that offer the lowest emissions, and recycles the water used in the testing of its products, such as the Fill-Flush System®, which cleans the tub’s internal plumbing with less than 10 gallons of water.
“Our success can be attributed to our philosophy of ‘substance first’, which reflects our legacy and artistically designed products such as the Intarcia,” said Adams.
