Exam Master® Releases Updated Fourth Generation Online Testing Platforms
Newark, DE (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- Exam Master® announces the release of its fourth generation online testing platforms -- Academic Manager® and Exam Master OnLine®. Several years in development, Exam Master® completed the rollout in July of this year, migrating more than 300 clients to the new system, while making it available for new clients effective immediately. “We are calling this '4th Generation' because that is essentially what it is, the fourth major upgrade of our online preparation and testing systems since we began serving the educational community some 15+ years ago,” said Matt Bader, Exam Master® President and CEO. “Many years of experience provided us with ongoing opportunities to work closely with faculty and educators in higher education, gather their valuable input and suggestions, and use that as the core of what helped to shape our newest platforms.”
Academic Manager®, designed for delivery of online assessments, quizzes and assigned study by faculty and educators, now encompasses many options that educators, deans, and administrators need to easily output critical data on student, exam and item performance. Exam Master OnLine® is a self-study system used by students and practitioners preparing for board exams or needing supplemental study and review for their training. Both systems combine a robust testing engine with access to large health sciences question banks. Academic Manager® and Exam Master OnLine®, licensed separately or together, are used by health sciences education institutions worldwide, including medical schools, physician assistant programs, teaching hospitals, dental schools as well as schools of pharmacy and nursing. In addition, Exam Master OnLine® Advantage is available for individual access for students and practitioners preparing for their board certification and licensure exams.
According to Bader, the fourth generation systems are built on the most modern web-based architecture available, and offer benefits of scalability and improved performance. Both systems are designed to accommodate flexible use by a variety of end users and educators. “We have learned over the years that not all students study the same way, and not all faculty or programs manage their assessments in quite the same way. Thus we've developed a system that is powerful yet flexible enough to accommodate these different types of uses without being too complicated,” adds Bader. Both systems include much of the same functionality as prior versions but with important new features and updates, including enhanced security, ability to deliver a variety of test item types, and special features for test takers, such as the ability to highlight text, record notes, create flashcards, and create assessments from incorrectly answered questions.
Founded in 1994, Exam Master® has been in the business of helping health care professionals achieve their education and training goals by offering an affective combination of both content and technology. Bader points out “Some companies offer the technology, others have the content. We combine the two in a way that is highly usable.”
