BestCreditScoreCompanys.com Updates Criterion for Reviewing Credit Score Companies
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) recently added a new factor to their 10-point ranking criteria used for all of the reviewed credit score companies. This new criterion changed the top placements in their rankings, dropping some companies a few spots down and giving some companies a generous top spot.
The BCSC team uses the term "refreshes" as their new addition to the 10-point ranking criteria. Refreshes is based off of how many times a credit score company allows their user to refresh or update their credit score and/or credit report (free of additional charge) after they sign up with the company's services. The companies that allow customers to update their score and report at least once a month will be scored higher than the companies that only allow refreshes to their score and report quarterly or annually.
If a customer is wanting to track their credit score and credit report on their own, without credit monitoring, then the best resource is having the ability to get the most updated score and report whenever possible.
"We have found that companies don't even mention this important feature when advertising their credit score services," Michael Bratton, PR Director said. "If you pay a monthly fee with a company that doesn't allow you to see an updated credit report, then all you're doing is paying 30 dollars a month to see the same credit report every month; it simply doesn't make sense."
Refreshes account for 10 percent of the BCSC overall score, which is valued more than criterion's such as trial detail, error dispute system, daily credit monitoring, online data security and identity theft protection. The ability to update your credit score and report is heavily weighted because most people pay companies each month to see how their credit score and credit report are changing every month. If the companies only allow you to see an updated report or score once a year, then it defeats the purpose; customers can easily access their free annual credit report instead.
"BestCreditScoreCompanys.com is always improving their reviews as well as their 10-point criteria," Bratton said. "Adding the refreshes criterion is only one way they are looking to review credit score companies more accurately."
BestCreditScoreCompanys.com reviews both personal credit score companies and business credit score companies in the industry. BCSC researches all of the components to each company and writes in-depth reviews for their customers and allows their users to share their stories and opinions on the companies as well.
