Windward IT Solutions, the pioneer in Service-Centric IT solutions, continues their commitment to serving the local community by teaming with the Foundation for Hospital Art to paint canvases for the Artemis House, a local emergency shelter in Herndon, Virginia. Windward’s employees and their families devoted a Saturday morning to participate in a collaborative effort to transform six-panel pieces into a vibrant work of art that will be used to uplift those staying in the shelter. Windward understands the hardships faced by many individuals during these trying times and recognizes the importance in helping those in our community on both an individual and corporate level.
The Foundation for Hospital Art provides comfort and hope to those suffering in hospitals worldwide by providing donated artwork. They advocate that art will help hospitals become a beautiful place for healing. “We are thankful for companies such as Windward IT Solutions who work with the Foundation for Hospital Art in fulfilling our mission to love and comfort others through artwork donations such as this one to Artemis House,” said Donna Wensink, Consultant at the Foundation for Hospital Art. “Established in 1984, we rely heavily on volunteers (upwards of 500,000 to date) to provide artwork free of charge to all types of care facilities in 194 countries around the world.”
